Children’s Ministry
Christ Church has an active children’s ministry and we strive to have the children participate in our Sunday service. Children gather for a lesson before the start of the service as well as actively participating in the service as part of the Chorister program and bringing up the elements. When not actively participating, children are encouraged to remain throughout the service and are provided with age appropriate activities to keep themselves busy. During our listening sessions many parents expressed their satisfaction with children’s ministry.
Adult Education
In the past Christ Church has had a variety of adult education programs including Sunday teachings, special seasonal series and short topical video series. Attendance over the years waned and opportunities decreased. At this time adult christian education is an area that is lacking at Christ Church.
At one of our listening sessions parishioners expressed interest in:
more Zoom opportunities to help accommodate scheduling conflicts
more small group studies where people are more likely to ‘open up’ and it doesn’t feel like you are being lectured at
having a variety of topics and presentation mediums in which to reach more people
Parishioners have identified adult education as one area in need of strong leadership in our new pastor.
Hospitality Ministry
The active group serves coffee and snacks after the Sunday service. This time of fellowship gives us a chance to grow our bond as a community. The hospitality ministry also provides fellowship opportunities to the wider community at some of our special Evensong and musical events.
